Many sanctioning bodies and racing organizations adopt a certain part number carburetor that must be used when racing their specific classes. These rules generally state no polishing, grinding, or visible modifications to the carburetor.
The first question always asked is " How much more cfm will I gain using this carburetor? "The answer is probably not much". However with the enhanced fuel curve procedures enacted, in many cases will improve lap times and drivability.
